About RL Miller
I'm a Woolsey Fire survivor, and I'm running for DNC.
As a fierce climate hawk, I was deeply involved in the fight for a climate debate at the DNC—everything from gathering 225,000 signatures to drafting resolutions urging DNC members to support (passed at 18 California counties, state parties of Massachusetts and Utah, county parties in Arizona, Florida, Iowa, and more) to strategizing with DNC delegates at the San Francisco Hilton to leading chants at the meeting. As a grassroots California Democrat, I've led the Environmental Caucus since 2013 to be one of the largest and most effective caucuses in the state Democratic Party. As a voice for electoral reform, I've brought climate activists into the party and I've kicked fossil fuel money out of the party. And as the founder of an organization to elect Democratic climate hawks, I've fundraised for people like Nanette Barragán, Kevin de León, Mike Levin, and Jessica Morse. TL;DR—I'm passionate and I get stuff done.
I want to bring California sunshine to an opaque institution and I want to help other state parties be more like the California Democratic Party—transparent, accountable, and successful. I want to give a voice at the DNC to wildfire survivors, frontline communities, and you.
